To comply with Department of Defense policies, Daemen University will return any unearned TA funds on a prorate basis through at least the 60% portion of the period for which the funds were provided. TA funds are earned proportionally during an enrollment period, with unearned funds returned based upon when a student stop attending. These funds are returned to the military Service branch.

Students called to active duty and/or deployed after drop/add week unable to complete their course(s) by DS or DL shall receive a grade of W for the course(s) enrolled in. Tuition/fees will be waived/refunded for those courses. Students called to active duty and/ or deployed before or during drop/ add week will have their registration deferred for that semester and will be re-registered upon return from active duty.

Instances when a Service member stop attending due to a military service obligation, the educational institution will work with the affected Service member to identify solutions that will not result in student debt for the returned portion.
